ABDUL HALIM BIN NAGOR MOHAMED (KIA160001)

Assalamualaikum and greetings everyone. Hi, My name is Abdul Halim bin Nagor Mohamed and my matric number is KIA160001 is a proud member of Civangers. I didn't know it would be full of fun at the beginning because I thought it would be darn boring. The reason behind this feeling is my dearest Civangers. They're very helpful, cheerful, wonderful, fantastic, you name it. So, I would like to take this opportunity to show my highest gratitude towards them because there's this phrase saying that "A friend in need is a friend indeed". The bond between us is as thick as thieves. I'm glad that it worked out for us because not everyone has that privilege.

I'm so happy about the fact that I was given this chance to work with my team to help the Toy Library in Damai Apartment. The people there were very nice and warm to us. They welcomed us with open arms. They didn't treat us as strangers but what they did was they treated us like we are their family. We were so happy that we got the chance to know better about the toy library. The activities we did at the Toy Library were so cool and fun. First of all, we did the ice-breaking session with the Go Green Rangers who help Datin PH Wong and Puan Jameyah to run the place. They are consist of children from the age of 7 to the age of 16. They were literally so nice to us. Even though some of them are very young, but their thinking was wiser and they are very respectful.

We shared many ideas together so that it could sustain the toy library in the future. We also cleaned up the place so that the kids who are going to invest their spare time will be comfortable playing at the toy library. After that, we went from house to house with the Rangers to promote the existence of the toy library to the nearby community. It was fun to explain to them the importance of the toy library to the parents there. Giving exposure to the parents about the toy library gave an eye-opening to them. Furthermore, some of the parents wanting their children to join the toy library membership program which cost around RM5 per year.

Then, we did a "senamrobik" session, cooking session, art attack and craft-making session with the kids. The kids were so sporting and loud. They were so cooperative with our instruction and clearly followed every instruction that has been given by us. When asking for the feedback from the kids, they unapologetically happy about the event that we held for them. Next, we went to Tadika Lin Lin to clean up the place as it's going to be the next toy library in Klang Valley. At there, Mr Hor and Mr Tan share us some precious knowledge about being innovative and how to do critical thinking.  They also taught us about the memory game which was very fun to play. Datin PH Wong also urges us to join the volunteering works as much as we can because it helps to develop the soft skills within ourselves. It also helps us to engage more and understand better about the outside world.

In a nutshell, I'm happy to learn many great things when joining the volunteering project with the community of toy library association. I'm also grateful to have the best supporting team ever. I hope that this subject will be preserved in the near future so that the next generation will understand better about what to give back to the community. That's all from me, thank you!
